Zero miles today. This is the sabbath day.

Goals for this week: Hit my workout times on point.

AM- 4 miles easy. PV BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPS. Our guys freaking deserved that shiz.

PM- 2 mile warm up, 4x1600@87% (5:21), 2x300@F (:44), 1.5 cool. Today was so tough mentally, for 1, my goal time was bumped up 4 seconds. 2, I had a crappy late lunch and dealt with an awful side ache the whole workout. I stuck through it though and was able to hit my times with my teammates! I hit 5:24, 5:21, 5:22, 5:16. Super great times, but it wasn't easy. Helped to run in a bigger group. I had Andrew, Dallen, Mitch, and Alex to run with and those guys are a great push! 300s were okay. :45 then :44. Not too shabby but still aiming for 2 44s!

Fun fact: I have had nothing but successful Monday 1600 workouts ever since January when we started. This is a good sign that I'm ready to take it to the next level in my racing.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Sarah! (Sarah Sargent) for running more mileage today than me haha! Plus she's a flipping beast from East.

AM- 4 miles easy. Cold out and sprinkling.

PM- Beast 8 mile run with the team. Had to explain to Dallen what "tap dat" meant (because he kept on saying it!), Andrew was having some chafing problems, Nick almost exploded... Twice! I won the Olympic 3200 in lane 8. Aw man today was just so eventful! We ran up Mount Everest Hill as we gazed upon the beautiful Pine Valley Mountain! Jake told me a funny joke. Strides after with some tag. I lost cause Paul only went after me:/ my feet nearly froze off during the barefoot strides though and that was painful. Beast and Feast afterwards with the team!

took the ACT today and idk about it this time... Hoping for a 30 (got 28 last time), but I'll update you guys in a few weeks or so about how I did!

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Holt for being a huge renob. Also for being my coach and running with us on the 1600s yesterday! And for making us remember that we need to bless the sacrament on Sunday.

AM- woke up and found my alarm had not been set. Luckily it was 6:30 and I still had time to go out. So I just ran up at the dirt (mud) mile.

PM- 10x400s@1600 R pace (70). Did this during 4th period by myself because I had to go to Desert Hells after school to play some hardcore classical music. I hit 71, 70, 70, 70, 69, 69, 69, 69, 68, 68. Not a bad workout. Took my heart rate before 4, 7, and 10. They were 134, 140, then a heaping 155 BPM! Idk how I'm even supposed to help get that down... Anybody know? It was tough cause the home stretch was a pretty hard headwind. Still was able to push through and had a great workout. Also I took my shirt off after the 6th one and that really helped me push. I feel bad for girls who won't be able to experience shirtless running... Maybe that's why guys are faster?

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Sarah Spiro for her beast ability to run fast and her legit tempo today. Check her out.

AM- 4 miles easy Morning Route. It was pretty good and felt really nice this morning. Only like 5 guys showed up this morning to run though so that was disappointing. I can't talk though, because I accidentally didn't show up yesterday.

PM- 6 miles easy (Foremaster so not really easy ;)) then 4x200 on the track hard. Good prerace run today. Doing the 3200 at the Hurricane All-Comers tomorrow. Not a big meet at all and not even a qualifier, but I'm still excited to see what I can do! Got new track jerseys today and let's just say silver is not my color ;) but they're dope.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Adam Jensen (Galen) from Lone Peak for his epic 400 TT PR as well as his beast workout. Check him out.

AM- 4 miles easy

PM- lots of warm up, 3200 (10:21), 4x400 (4:08, 60 split), like half a lap cool. The 3200 was kind of sad cause all the other teams had left by then and the only guys actually racing were Nick, Jake, Mitch and I. We just switched leads every lap for the first 5 then me and Nick switched lead every 200 the 6th lap then the rest was just nick up front. Not really stressed that it wasn't that fast because it didn't feel like a race effort or even a race environment. 4x400 right after with Andrew, Jake, and Seth. We took 4th.

AM- 2 mile warm, 4x1600@87% (5:21), 2x300, .75 cool. Did this in the morning because SPRING BREAK! Our group consisted of me, Jake, Andrew and Alex, but it was soon evident after we started that it would just pretty much be me and Andrew. First one was a 5:20 and we were already breathing way hard! I honestly thought it would not end up well, but Andrew and I did a great job pushing and switching leads and we ended up going (5:20), 5:21, 5:20, 5:18. Probably the hardest workout (effort wise) I've had in a while. Idk if it's because it's morning coming straight off of a weekend or what, but I'm glad I was able to stick in there. Feeling good about how I've been running lately.

PM- 4 miles easy Dirt Mile at 3:15. Went on a date with Macey and played some Pickleball, had some sandwiches and went to gosnow and that was fun... Especially cause SHE asked ME and payed for everything.

Wow turns out I have 102 monthly views! I'd like to thank all my fans as well as my coach Holt for being kewl and winning a 30k on Saturday for me.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to my main bro Controversial Cam for his beast 1000s this morning! He puts out a Controversial topic every day for everyone to discuss and usually it's really dope. Check his blog out.

AM- 8 miles easy and 1 mile of striders. Pretty nice day and everyone was doing well until Skylar tried to jump over a 3 foot tall chain, got his foot caught, slammed to the ground, and broke his watch! And to top it all off, Katelyn was there to see it all haha! Going to Cedar at about noon to help my grandpa pick up his new truck, resulting in us 'buying' his old one! ALSO! I was dubbed, by Grandmaster Chiva Alex the Lion, the Stallion Chiva! And just like that, I'm officially part of the Desert Chivas.

Almost forgot, I also saved Skylar's life by pushing him out of the way of an incoming vehicle. Not Skylar's best day.

Also I've decided that AA is the cutest high school runner in all of Utah. She's just wow.

PM- 4 miles easy Dirt Mile again. It was SO fricken hot today, even in my white Lone Peak "Run Like a Champion Today" shirt I was sweating pretty good. Approximately 80degrees Found a legit neon golf ball up there though so that was cool. I'll show anyone who wants to see it.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Rachelle just cause she's a dope runner and also runs with pregnant ladies so that's kewl.

AM- 12x400 @kosmin 1600 pace (1:10), 2:00 rec, w/2 miles warm and 1.5 cool. Hit 1:09 and 1:10 for all of them. Really tiring workout. It's supposed to simulate the last or 3rd lap of the 1600. Ran with Andrew, Alex, and Mitch, with Nick just a few seconds ahead. Can never breath very well in the morning, but was able to run pretty well! Hit the weight room after and I'm swoller than ever.

Going to Zion later. Any recommendations for "family-friendly" hikes? If not, we were just gonna hit Observation Point and Emerald Pools...

PM- 4 miles easy Dirt Mile! For those of you who don't know the dirt mile, that's too bad. It's pretty much just a dirt loop that's a mile long. Don't like how people drive up on it though cause it rained a while back and it's all messed up on the finishing stretch! There's also a palm tree graveyard on it and a gateway to the desert! It's so freaking dope. Today's run was pretty quiet and it feels good out there. I like the overcast today.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Alex the Lion! He's a freaking dope freshman who's pretty dang quick. Also, he had a good 400 workout today with me. He mentioned on his yesterday that I saved Skylar so that was nice of him. Check out his blog he's beast

AM- 8 miles easy Mustang Pass. Such beautiful scenery especially after rain. We talked a lot about how they keep building houses on our precious desert and how eventually it will all be gone. Coach gave me tips on how to defeat Connor Baller in the 3200m at the PV Invite for the hand of AA. Pretty nice run.

PM- 4 miles easy through Hell Hole to the River Trail. Wow I found out I can get places much quicker by taking the shortcut through the turf farm! Was able to actually make it pretty far today!

Also I'm now up to 166 monthly views! WOW I can't believe you all actually care :) keep up the good work, viewers!

Ugh this is so embarrassing... 8:45... Just woke up... Missed practice... Going down to Hell Hole on my own to do some hills...

AM- Hell Hole Hills 4x1:00, 6x:30. Did about double recovery for all of them. Felt great about how I ran! Went farther on each one of the 1:00 and even hit pretty far up the dirt part on the last one. The 30 second ones were all pretty much at the same finishing spot except the last 2 I went balls to the wall. Especially the last one because there was some lady walking up the hill who I had to impress so I made it about 5 meters farther on the sixth one. Added on a bit in my neighborhood to make it 60 minutes total.

PM- 4 miles easy Dirt Mile. BLAZING hot today or maybe I was just so dehydrated but I was sweating so bad! Wish I lived up north. Somebody is absolutely demolishing  the dirt mile and I don't like it! Running on it is my fav past time. Very nostalgic. Dwight Schrute said it best: "Nostalgia is one of the human's greatest weaknesses. Second only to the neck."

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to freakitypopo! He had a beast tempo worthy of this great honor! Go check him out he's wicked fast

Banged my knee on a hitch a few feet from a ditch. It was really quite rich until it started to itch coulda sworn it was a witch who decided to bewitch my patella. I would want to switch this experience with a baseball pitch to my fingers from my dear teammate Mitch. Seriously my knee's starting to twitch which makes me feel like a glitch. Hopefully this won't interfere with my running niche. Now I'll continue watching Lilo and Stitch.

Sorry ran this morning but forgot to blog

AM- 15 minute AT-LT progression (5:40-5:10). Did pretty well. Didn't quite hit LT by the end but was still a good push. Started at the top of parkway and then did a pretty much all downhill run for the tempo (down hell hole through Sullivan park). Since these tempos are what I struggle with, the downhill benefitted me well and allowed me to run strongly, good day all together. Hit the rest of the run pretty slow.

AM- 4 miles easy. March madness is coming up!! Everyone go fill out your brackets! Kentucky's got the win this year.

PM- 2 miles warm, 1 cool, 4x1600s@87% (5:21), 2x300 (:44). Today was SO FREAKING HOT!!! Like mid-80s. I was ill prepared for it... First one was good at a 5:20, but I was sweating bad. 2nd was a 5:22 still good. 3rd one about halfway through I started to get a headache which never went away the rest of the workout. Hit 5:27 on that one. The headache started pounding so hard in my brain on the last one and I couldn't take it anymore so I dropped out at the 800 at 2:41. First 300 was :46 and on the last 300 I decided I would hit my time if I died. So I went and hit a high :44. Gotta recommit during workouts more often. Not my best day, but everyone has off days. I'm resilient though so I'm not too worried about it. Weights after.

AM- 4 miles easy. Kind of a quiet morning. Pretty warm :/ I hate the heat!!

PM- 6 miles easy before the youngster meet then I helped to time lane 6 so that was fun! I had 3  heat winners from lane 6! Our route was dope. We ran to Slick's house then did a little in the desert, went through Dogtown, through Sandberg's, and then just back to the school.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Edmond Runner for being legit and writing out a legitimate entry today that I enjoyed reading. All the other ones I checked were SOOO boring.

AM- 4 miles easy. We were going to run to Chick-Fil-A for free bagels, but Josie was being rude and wouldn't run back to her car so she could drive us back after. She was scared of getting kidnapped or something.... I don't blame her cause she's prime bait for creeps.

PM- 2 mile warm, 6x800@goal 3200 pace (2:29) w/2:00 recovery, cool to 50 minutes. This was a fun workout! It wasn't easy, but I was able to hit my time on all 6. Just a proof of my resiliency from Monday's workout. The last one was even a 2:25! As always, Andrew, Jake, Alex, Mitch and Dallen were all there hitting the times good too. They're all looking strong! On the cool down, coach tried assassinating me while I was salutating Triple-B.. I almost died.

Running the 1600 on Friday at Hurricane! Excited to see what I can do. I've done the work, now it's the season to reap what I've sown.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to toto too even though the last time she blogged was February. But her last post is flipping interesting. She had a very interesting day;) Check it out.

PM- 6 miles easy Prerace w/4x200 finishes. Pretty nice day today, despite the heat! We did Sandberg's so a few of us jumped in the pond and that was so refreshing! 200s after were strong. I don't usually time them so just know they were good. Hurricane Invite is tomorrow and I'm racing the 1600. Then the 3200 first thing Saturday morning!

AM- 4 miles easy. If anybody is wondering about my races last weekend, just know that they were slow. So slow that I didn't bother to even check my times. This morning's run was very nice though. Good run.

PM- 4x1600 87% w/3:00 rec, 2x300 F, 2 warm, 1 cool. Really showed my resiliency through this workout after a really really bad weekend. The thing is I just gotta learn from this weekend so it doesn't happen again. Anyways it was a really great workout! Hit my best times yet. 5:18, 5:19, 5:19, 5:17. Pretty dang hard because of the heat and such, plus it was just Jake and I on the last one, but we were able to man through it and it ended up going really well for us. Jake and I switched leads on the last one on every 200 and that helped keep us focused. 300s were :45s. Weights afterwards, and I'll call that a day!

AM- 4 miles easy Starbucks. Felt nice this morning, but Andrew wasn't there to ask what everyone had for dinner so that was a bust... I really wanted to know!

PM- 2 miles warm/cool, 6x800 @3200 goal pace (2:29) w/120 beat recovery (1-2minutes). Really great workout and it didn't seem too hard. I went 2:30, 2:29, 2:29, 2:28, 2:28, 2:28. Had a great group of me, Andrew, Dallen, Jake, Mitch, and Alex! Nobody had an off day today and it was great. Now just gotta do this in a race and I'll be set for state! Little bit of weights after, but I couldn't stay long cause I had to get home to go to dinner :P

Retook the APUSH unit 7 test and I'm feeling I'm borderline this time! Last time I got a 17 when I needed an 18 to pass. Also speaking of APUSH, I coulda got my first kiss in that class today! But sadly there were no volunteers...

BLOG BEAST(S) OF THE DAY goes to all the Desert Hellians for their awesome races in Chandler, Arizona. They all did freaking beast, and Tuba City ran a 9:27 or something so that is dope!

AM- 4 miles easy with the dudes! PV invite is coming up tomorrow! Running the 3200 on Saturday morning and it's gonna be fun! Fun fact, PV is the biggest high school hosted meet in Utah! Currently, there are 71 boys signed up for the 3200, but it will be above 100 boys in it! Josh Collins being among the fastest. It's gonna be awesome!

PM- 6 miles easy w/4x200 finishes. TODAYS RUN WAS SO FREAKING DOPE! Did the shoe run route (which includes us doorbell ditching the Ellsworths). We stopped at the park for a second to let some people release their bowels when Bryan had the bright idea to go and catch a duck! He ran up to one and just picked it up, it started to freak out so he chucked it in the air and it started to fly/fall and it slammed into the concrete sidewalk. Luckily it's okay and Bryan probably has herpes now. Also there was a dead fish in the pond so we decided to put it in a bag we found and leave it as a present when we doorbell ditched. So that was dope and we did not get caught. In Sandberg's, as we were running around the spawn of Marlar, Mitch got knocked up (stung) by one of his bee minions and he was yelling loudly out of pain the whole rest of the run. Luckily he's okay now, but I gotta admit it was pretty funny.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Definition Dallen cause he has found his calling in life: saying words that he has no idea what they mean. Also he's a beast buddy of mine and we're workout buddies and he's freaking fast and awesome so check out his blog!

PM- 6 miles around the stadium area "girl scouting". Man gotta say either the Orem or Parawon girls win! Also I found a few quality East specimens and also a Lehi girl who was fine! Other then that.... PV INVITE DOPE STUFF! Josh Collins won the mile with 4:16.21 and broke the meet record. The high jumpers went flipping high! Everything was great today and I'm stoked for the 3200 tomorrow! I'm in the fast heat so that's kewl!

Race- warmed up DI loop with Dallen, Jake, and Mitch, then did some fartleks on the track. Put our spikes on and did some strides, then said a quick prayer then we got lined up. I was seeded 22nd with the 10:10 that coach put me in at, and there were 28 guys in the heat, 15 guys sub-10 going into it. It was an alley start and I got stuck on the very end of the last one! Which was okay. The race started and I got into a good position in the middlish of the pack. First lap was like a 1:13, the first mile was pretty uneventful, but going into the mile, Jake and Mitch were both pretty close which was good. 4:56. The Desert Hells guys started to make a move going into lap 6 so I decided I would stick with them as long as I could. We passed Spencer from Dixie as well as a few other dudes, but both Tanner and Bryson beat me. Finished with a HUGE PR of 9:56. I'm stoked because I hit state qualifying and now I get to show all I got at state! I'm so freaking excited.

Blog Beast Honorable Mentions: Connor Baller (first JR (4th overall?) as well as a 9:38 which is freaking quick, also won AA), Hell Raiser (State qualify/5 sec PR of 4:25 in the 1600), Model-T (3rd JR 9th overall 9:50), Holt (for running the best meet ever which was right on schedule the whole time), and Mitchell Price (PR in the 3200 with a 10:07)

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to BrysonKing for his DHells freshman record in the 3200 with a 9:52 I think. That dude is a freaking beast.

AM- 4 miles easy Starbucks. We're going farther lately in our 30 minutes lately and I'm okay with that. These morning runs are quite refreshing.

PM- 8 miles w/2x(2:00 hard, :30 rec, 1:00 hard, :30 rec, :30 hard) just to get the legs moving. I felt good today and was feeling pretty strong on the fartleks so that was good. We ran to Nick's house so he could open up his ACT score and he got a flipping 31! Then we ran to BrYan's house to open up his, but it hadn't come yet. We then made our way to Sullivan Park, then Mosquito Trail back to the school. It was a good day.

ACT scores came back today and I ended up with a 30 cumulative.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes out to Ericka who had a beast half marathon on Saturday. Reminds me of when I ran the half. That was a good day.

AM- 4 easy good morning sunshine!

PM- 5.5 easy w/4x200s hard afterwards. Fun run out into greensprings. We wrote a dope story about saving Two Pac Shakur. Then we made a bunch of Star Wars inuendos relating to smoking, drugs, etc.. To name a few: Darth Vaper, Opium Kanobi, Qui Gon Gin, Chancellor Nicotine, Luke Cig-lighter, Jabba the Blunt, Han Sodope, Chewbacco, Darth Marlboro, Princess Lighter. Feel free to add your own! Haha it was an awesome run, to say the least. This was in preparation for the meet at the Hells tomorrow and Thursday. I'm doing the 1600 and then the 4xmile depending on if other teams enter.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Scott Sandberg from the Hells for his 32 ACT. He beat all us dumb PV kids.
