I'M BACK! I really gotta start doing this more often cause it's fun... I have been keeping up my week report on pvxc.blogspot.com , but this is a lot more fun so I'll start doing both again.

AM- 75 minutes total w/striders. Nice pack up there today. Went out on prospector which is my favorite trail so that was a plus. Felt sick all weekend and still today am feeling congested. My ear still hasn't popped since coming down from Brian Head yesterday... Which I will report on right now!

Brian Head: Went up Friday to my grandparent's cabin on Aspen (drive or lane or street idk) and stayed until Sunday evening. Got some good 4 wheeler rides in and a couple hikes. Church yesterday was dope because they hold it in the town hall and sometimes there's only like 10 people there but this time there were like 40. Also I got to go in a T-shirt and shorts because I didn't plan on staying up so long so I didn't pack church stuff. There were also cute girls there. If anybody would like to join me, I'll be going to brian head church from now on.

AM- 4 miles easy barefoot w/half mile warm. Still feeling pretty sick and probably even worse than yesterday. Planning a sick outing with 10 of the guys and 10 of the girls this weekend at my grandparent's cabin on Brian Head. Should be pretty dope.

PM- 4 miles easy Sunrise Tires. Felt pretty bad today because my lunch was way late (like 1:30 after I went and saw Ant Man) and that added on to my sickness so it was a little bit of a struggle towards the end and I had to give myself a minute to recover afterwards, but I was just fine.

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Michael Finch for being a freaking beast PV alumni and a great example of dedication to team and sport. Great dude. He is the essence of running and has beast 1 milers that he runs.

AM- Time Trial 1. Still feeling pretty sick. I was appointed to lead the first mile and I was worried a little bit about how I've been feeling lately, but I was able to do it for the team. I stayed up pretty much until 600 meters to the finish and I just died there. Ended in 9th. Big eye opener: our team is good. I am good. We're killing it. Not sure what my time even was. My job was to lead the first mile and I did it, had a bad day today but you'll see a lot of Preston Warby this season! XC4Ever 運行叛徒

AM- 50 minutes easy City Creek. Pretty decent group today and some great banter. Found out today that PV is ranked 12th in Utah (right behind Lehi, Connor). I believe we're going to surprise a lot of people this year. Our summer has been purely mileage based and we had a great time trial yesterday (24 second split between 1st and 10th place for 2 miles with times that are pretty decent on a course like that) and we're looking pretty strong and we're working hard. Most importantly we're having a fun time! Also our girls are ranked 3rd. They're looking absolutely amazing and they're a fun time.

AM- 6 miles easy. Out and back on the temple quarry trail. Fun times! Started to downpour on the way back and there was some pretty freaky lightning but we all survived :) feeling good! Can't wait for Tuesday (cedar all comers). Went on a date with Alli P yesterday and that was way fun. Shoutout to her for being so 😍

BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Vis for being an awesome coach and friend of mine. He's always a fun guy to talk to.

PM- easy around Navajo lake

AM- Brian Head Peak! We ran up the road and found a trail and ran around to the ski lifts, then climbed up the mountain slipping on rocks and almost dying (or at least Jason thought so). By the end of our climb, we reached 11,307 ft (I think). It was pretty dope. We still had a ton of time so we found another trail, ran down it, then tempo'd 20 minutes back to the cars. Awesome weekend with such an awesome team!

AM- 11.5 miles w/strong finish and striders. Headed out down to the end of green springs, headed down passed Hell Raiser's house then up fire station hill to the parkway and looped it around to the high school. Pretty dope run! Had no problems. Striders were good. Just overall a good day. Ready to give the effort tomorrow at Cedar All Comers. Fun times! Weights after and I PR'd on the leg machine. #blessed

AM- 4 miles easy grass. Apparently not racing today... Coach is frustrated at us for not getting it done (understandable), my parents are frustrated at me for not turning in my physical (which I did at the beginning aof the summer) and that they payed the fees through the mail and that it says we didn't... among other things. too many negative vibes today. The run was fun for the most part. Just gonna see what I can do and do what I can.

RACE- pretty decent first race. Our focus was to just group up as a team and we did pretty good at it: this was not a focus race. we had forgotten how hectic all comers races are and we found ourselves constantly passing people. Shoulda gotten out a bit faster. At one point I was trying to pass this annoying CV kid and he ran right in front of me, I backed off, tried again, this time he elbowed me, and then I tried for a 3rd time and he straight up shoved me backwords. That made me mad so I just kind of pushed him aside and surged right past him. Turns out Mitch and Jake (who were just right behind me at the time) saw this little scuffle and apparently both of them shoved this dude out too... Oh good times haha they got my back. Not sure my finishing place but I was 4th on PV. Nick, Dallen, Mitch, then me.

AM- 4x800 old man hills. These were pretty tough, but again our focus was to group up and we had our awesome group of 10 guys up there and that was sick because this was not an easy pace... I was huffing and puffing. Sure does help knowing that all those guys are busting their guts to stay up with the group and helps to push myself. We're a strong team.

PM- 4 miles easy starbucks. Pretty nice afternoon. Hot as heck. Afterwards, I bought discount running shorts for 3 bucks.

AM- 30 minutes easy Sunrise. Pretty good morning this morning. Warm for a morning run: which means killer heat for our afternoon run this afternoon... Which is a long run... in 107F

PM- 90 minutes total w/striders... In 110 degree hot Saint George weather!!! It was hotter than hades out there today and this was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. The heat was just extremely degrading of my energy, but I SURVIVED! It was a great accomplishment.

RACE- pretty decent run today. Our goal again was to pack pretty good and we did really well the first mile and a half, but then we started falling apart a little. We still ended pretty well and took 2nd at the race.

AM- 4 miles easy Sunrise. Nice easy run and felt chill.

PM- 90 minutes w/ 2x(1:00, 2:00, 1:00) fartlecks and striders after. The temperature was roughly 108 so not quite as hot as last week haha. Afterwards I was a human salt flat haha.

PM- 4 miles easy in the neighborhood by PV. Just a nice chill adventure run and we ran through places I've never been before... and the middle school junk track haha

AM- 4 miles easy AC. Getting ready for that TT later!

PM- Time Trial #2 10:36.8 (TT #1: 11:03). Super solid day from the team. Ran this a Bloomington Hills North Park and we showed some awesome improvement. Our top 7 guys were in front of our 1st guy from last time trial. Also our top 7 had a 9 second split. 9 SECONDS. That just really excites me. We're a wolf pack. Personally, I felt pretty good the whole time and took 6th (still only 8 seconds behind Dallen who was in first) and got a 27 second pr on the course.

Afterwards, we had 2x800s at 5k race pace. I hit 2:40 then 2:33

PM- 30 minutes grass run. This run was sooo freaking fun! Started as just a regular grass run, but it turned into a sick game of girls vs boys in a keep away/rugby. It was way dope.
