Today I went on my first morning run in a while. It felt really nice. Finding it easy to stay with the group on these kinds of runs. This afternoon did 8 miles with a 24 minute tempo. Not quite running my time, but I did way better than last week. Just been thinking about how before I started running, I could only run a 10:30 mile. Now my Cosmon says that I should end up running a 5:15!

AM: 3 miles. Wasn't too cold this morning... It was a bit chipper though. Felt really refreshing.

PM: 8 miles. After the morning run, I felt really nauseaus for the school day. Really felt like asking coach if I could run something less hard, but decided to try it and see how I did... And I sort of didn't do too great. Even with the nausea I don't think I tried my best. I just need to start thinking less and running more instead of just thinking that I can't do it. I hit my AT time for about 2/3 of the time, but then started to fall off. Afterwards, however, I felt that I did something great because I looked past the nausea and just ran what coach told me to run. That's a big part of commitment... Looking past all your excuses and taking risks and making sacrifices.

Today we did 2 parkway loops, which by the end, ended up to be 6.7 miles. It was really tough for me. Especially since we had to do the harder pace up the hill! I didn't keep up with the group and was tempted to just do 1 loop because I was dying. I did not give up though. It was really tough, but I know that I just need to get over it and try my best. I couldn't stop thinking of that barney song "Look Both Ways When You Cross The Street". I kept on making different harmonies to it until it was basically a 10 piece choir haha! I haven't even watched barney for a long time! I learned from this run that it doesn't matter how fast you are or how good you are at running as long as you try your best and push yourself everyday. Nobody cares if you finish last. Just as long as you try your best and finish. (I also did half a mile barefoot warmup).

I felt really good about today! I made it to 38! I feel that I so could've made it to 40 though. Just if I would've tried that much harder. I feel that I'm gonna have a good future in running. Did 4 miles on the grass and then 1 mile of striders. My legs don't feel sore from yesterday at all. I felt really good today, but I started to get pretty tired around mile 3 and just kept getting more and more tired. Felt good overall. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

I was proud when I finally made it back to the school. A year ago today I never would have dreamed of running this much in a day, and now I do it all the time! Today we ran the Mustang Pass trail at Green Springs. It was really fun and it was very good scenery. I always love the runs over there because of the surroundings. I felt pretty good I guess. I fell a little behind and then caught back up. On the way back, me, Jake, and Nick decided to slow it down a bit (which was really nice cause I was dying). I woke up today with my heart rate at 87 bpm from just a 66 the day before. Could somebody explain the whole heart rate thing? Like what does it mean when your heart rate is high or low? One day, maybe an anomaly (if I get a weird reading, I just chill out and take another one); a couple days in a row maybe shows fatigue, sickness, dehydration, overtraining or something like that. This week I would say fatigue and dehydration. So, drink up and rest up.

Today was the best run I have ever had... And also the first Saturday I've ran in a while. I ran from my house up past Maverick, past the freeway entrances, to these four wheel trails. (We've ran through it a couple times during the track season).  I know I was only supposed to run 4 and I was going to only run 4, but by the time I got there, it was already time to turn back and what's the fun in that? Anyways, it was an adventure. I never know where each trail will take me. I ended up seeing a rattlesnake and like 7 bunnies! Luckily, the rattlesnake was not near me. I must have looked like an idiot out there because I was singing along to my Ipod almost the whole time. I'm glad nobody else was out there. I've decided that I need to reprioritise my running  goals. Instead of trying to be the best and get the best times, I've decided that my number one goal is to have fun. After that, it is to be the best runner I can become and get PRs and stuff like that. After today, I don't think I'll be missing a Saturday run in a long time.

Even during the striders (I don't usually keep up with the striders) and still had energy to spare. Every day lately has been easier than the last. Even if it's more mileage or faster. I think the next step is to keep up on at least one parkway loop. (half a mile barefoot warmup). I added half a mile because of running club. I was dead after that. My legs were dying the whole time. Jake, Andrew, and I were the only level 2 guys there today amd we took it a little slower on the way back. I hope tomorrow we take it a little easier. Not that today was hard. It was just a little painful. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

Went on a 7 miler with the guys today. Not very many people showed up. I think on the way there, it was me, Andrew, Jake, Jake, Byron, Abel, Krenshaw, Matt. Me, Andrew, Jake, and Jake went 7 and we took it a good pace on the way back. It was pretty tough to go this far for me, but I'm just glad I could keep up! (half a mile barefoot warmup)

AM-Today we did our 4x1000 (or 4x1600) at our personal VO2 max 15 minute times at an 80%. I was supposed to hit a 5:16, but I hit a 4:49, 5:01, 5:08, and 5:08. Coach Roberts is one funny guy! I did most of the workout with him, Liz, Jason, Jake, and Farmer J. It felt really good and easy. It was way fun.

PM- Our first PM run (and first of many, many Artic Circle runs) of the year! I felt surprisingly good on the way there, but I got a massive sideache on the way back. Other than that, it was pretty good. I ran with some water, but doubt I'll do it again. During weights afterwards, during the squats, I think I pulled something in my groin. It hurts to walk more than 30 feet at once and to bend down or squat now. Any suggestions of what to do? Stretches?

...And what the heck? Did Scott Sandberg join our team or something? Because he did the same stuff as us... The exact same stuff.

AM-Today we ran the 4 miles barefoot with striders. It felt really good. Probably the best I've felt in a few weeks! It was pretty fun and I kept up the whole time. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

Kid's Club- Best kids club ever! My group and the younger group of girls did a relay race of 4 teams (our team was Team Tryhard (we won, by the way)). It was WAY fun! If your groups haven't done relays, do them next week. It was legit.

AM- 1 mile warmup. Today we did the 30/30 workout. I did not do nearly as good as last week. I hit it 21 times. I hit my overall mileage, but I was hoping to do a little better on the test. I guess today was just an off-day for me. I tried my hardest and hopefully next week is a little bit better. 1 mile cool down. (half mile barefoot warmup).

AM-Today we ran into Hell's Hole for our hill workout. I don't remember hills being as fun as they were today. We did 5x10 second bounders (is that what they're called?) and then 5x10 second hill sprints. It wasn't all that crappy. The worst part was coming up by the library and cemetary. Haha. Pretty easy day today. Hopefully I feel the same tomorrow for our 7 miler. (half a mile barefoot warmup). I signed up for Chelsi's Run today. I'm getting pumped. I'm not sure what to expect. Hopefully I do alright.

PM-Went the 3 mile artic circle route from PVHS. I was kind of hoping it would rain on our run, but it stopped right before it. I got this terrible sideache right at the beginning of our run and it didn't end until after the run. I managed to stay up with the group though. Weights went really good afterwards.

AM- Today was probably the best run ever! I felt really good the whole time. We met at Vernin Worthen park in Dixie and ran from there. I kept up with the elite guys for 3.5 miles (along with Jake) and then we turned around and waited for Nate until we really started going again. It felt really good to be at the front of the level 2 boys pack. I think that our whole JV team has really great potential this year. The 3.5 miles back was the best part. We didn't slow down at all, but it felt like heaven. It was me, Nate, and Jake pretty much the whole time and then the other guys were pretty close behind at the very end. I'm getting pretty excited for the Chelsi's Run on Monday. Hopefully I feel as good then as I did today. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

Late Night Run(with Krenshaw, Byron, Matt, Abel, and Hunter)- 5.5: I was only planning on running 3 miles, but I was the only person there who was and I didn't want to run back on my own. Tonight I felt really good, but I fell off the pack close to the end. We were going really fast! I'm not sure what our pace was, but the beginning was definately sub-7 and the end was probably sub-7:30. I don't feel like 5.5 miles was much of a push today. I stepped on my foot weird close to the end of the run and it bugged me the rest of the time, but it's not bugging me now.

AM-Today we ran 5x1000 (3 minute recovery) with 1 mile warm and cool. I hit around 4:55 on all of them. They're super slow, but I still hit a little faster than my time. I felt really tired today and I think I'll take a nap before I lift this afternoon. I want to be at my best at the 5k tonight. The only guys who I run with that are going to Chelsi's is Cam and Jake B. I wish our whole group would go and help push each other, but I'm just gonna have to try to keep up and help push Cam. I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm hoping I get a big PR from last year.

Chelsi's- This was a pretty tough race. I tried my hardest, but I don't think I went hard enough. I'm pretty sure I could do much better if I keep at it and keep trying. The first lap, I hit around a 9:10 and then I slowed way down the second lap to a 10:33 (1.5 miles). I photofinished with Jason. I seriously have no clue who won it was that close. Overall, it was fun, but I didn't meet up with my expectations from me.

AM-Today we did the 30-30 workout. I did not do good at all. I made it to 14 and then couldn't go anymore. I'm still super tired and sore from the 5k. I think I am dehydrated also so I'm going to try to fix that today. We did a mile warmup and then me and Jason went on about a 2 mile cool down to get our mileage.

PM-Ran 3 miles on my own. Went up to the dirt mile from my house and did 2 laps and that didn't quite make three so I ran a little more on my street. And about halfway through my run I ran into coach! Haha. He was running up at the dirt mile for a little bit too. I decided to do this run a little bit easy. I ran an average of 7:24 per mile. And I ended up with a time of 22:14 (which by the way was faster than my first race last year). I'm starting to feel a little better from my soreness and I've been rehydrating a lot today. So I have decided to do a little experiment with the heart rates. I was wondering what my normal heart rate is in contrast with my resting heart rate when I wake up in the morning. So every day for the next little while, I will take my heart rate right when I wake up (6:30am) and at 3:00pm (before my afternoon runs). Today kind of surprised me. In the morning my RHR was 60bpm and at 3:00pm my HR was 60bpm. Isn't our RHR supposed to be lower?

AM- Today I felt really good. I did 6 miles with a 2 mile tempo on the 4-5 miles. I ran the whole run with Andrew. It was pretty nice and probably the best I've felt in a "tempo" before. Our tempo pace was around 6:50-7:00 pace. I wanted to run in a bigger group but the other guys were going a little slower than I wanted to go on a tempo. Surprisingly, Me, Andrew, and Logan were the first level 2 guys back from the run. I felt good overall and I really enjoyed this run.

PM- It is so hot outside! I couldn't make it to team practice because I went to see Turbo (actually wasn't too bad. It inspired me and I almost cried once). So, I went on my own run when I got home. I did a loop that was roughly about 3.5, but I put 3 just in case. In my run, I ran into the cemetary and it gave me a wonderful idea for a race or marathon or something... The Death Race. It's not called that because of how hard it is, but because you run to all the cemetaries in the area... Starting at the Washington Cemetary. It would be so legit. And everytime you run to a grave of your close friend or family member, it will make you want to run faster for them. Before I die, I want to see The Death Race happen. RHR: 65 HR:72

AM- It was so tough this morning. First, we ran the region course for this year out in Bloomington which added up to 3 miles. It kind of gets me excited for region this year, but it gives me a reality of how tough running on the grass is compared to the asphalt. That wasn't too bad. The hard part was doing meat grinders (x2). If there are hills in hell, they would all be the Meat Grinder Hill (I don't know what it's called). It was so crappy. On the way down the first one, I was thinking,"Coach! Here's the part where you say 'Just kidding. We're only doing 1'". and then we all start cheering, but that didn't happen. It was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. I feel so accomplished to be able to do that though. So those added up to about 5 miles. (half a mile barefoot warmup). I have decided that Turbo is exactly the same as Ratatoullie. If you ever go see it, try to find the comparisons. There are tons. AM- Today marks the 100th mile in my Kinvara 4s! WOOHOO! 30/30s at 126 meters in 30 seconds. Today was pretty tough, but I was determined to hit more than I did last week (14) and I did! I got 20. I woke up this morning feeling really tired and dehydrated. I really need to work on staying hydrated. I was tempted to not even go to practice today. That would've been a big mistake. 1 mile warmup, 1 mile cool down. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

Running Club- I added on 2 miles because I paced the 5th and 6th grade girls race and boys race. Those kids are very talented and determined. Today 2 kids in particular have gained my respect. Gracie Clements and Scotty Bushar. Those are some determined kids. Both of them would not fall behind me. They both tried their very best to stay up with me and because of their determination, it gave them some personal bests. I did not pace them in particular, but they both dared to keep up with me. I love running club!

PM- This was supposed to be a nice easy 3 miler. If anyone ever tells you that was what it was, punch them in the face. It all started off all fine and dandy, but about a mile into it, I started to have the worst sideache ever. It was seriously the most pain I have felt running. It felt like satan literally put his hand in my side and took his sharp, pointy claws and started to squeeze my insides. If I ever have a sideache as bad as this, I will personally walk up to the pope and say every swear word 20 times. I ran up to the grapevine trail and I decided to rest and see if the sideache would just go away. So I sat there and watch the lightning (which was super kewl) for about 5 minutes. It felt like satan pulled his arm out finally, so I started running again. And then it felt like I got shot in the side. I literally got down in the fetal position for a minute or 2. I decided that I was going to finish or die trying. I ended up finishing, but not without casualties. I lost my manhood and every shred of respect and dignity I had.

AM- 6.75 miles. This morning was super tough! We ran to Hell's Hole and did some super crappy hills there. The people from the city told us we couldn't run on the part we were going to go on, so we went to the huge giant hill. First, we did 4x1minute hard. This was the toughest part. I would always start out too fast and be dying by the end... Or I would be stuck behind people. After that we did 4x30seconds hard. These were awesome! I was in the front with Reed on all of them. Cam was really impressive on the last one. He just sprinted past all of us. I decided that whenever we're having a hard time in a workout, we all should just C.A.M. (conquer all mankind) it. Then we ran back to the school plus a block. Pretty tough day today.

PM- 3 miles. It was super hot today. We did the Artic Circle route. We went pretty slow the whole time (which was actually pretty nice). I had a teeny sideache almost the whole time, but that didn't bug me much. I've been working on being more hydrated and it's working. I'm getting really tired of how much I sweat though!

YES! I finally hit a 50 mile week! I felt amazing on this run. Byron invited me to go with him and Dave on their run tonight and I invited Jason to go with us. We ran a 5 miler up the Coral Canyon hill. I was expecting it to be super hard because I've never ran up it before, but it was surprisingly easy. What's more is that we finished this 5 miler in 31-35 minutes! That's sub-7 pace! By far my fastest 5 miler ever! It wasn't even that hard for me. It was for sure a 5 miler because we had a Garmin with us. Afterwards, Jason and I ran an extra .55 miles to get in 50 miles. This got me thinking of my first 5 miler about a year ago. It was quite possibly the worst run of my life and took me about an hour to do. I've improved so much and I can't believe it took me this run to realize it. My hard work is paying off. I'm good and I'm just gonna get better from here.

AM- Just ran up to the dirt mile and did 6x1000 repeats. They were pretty easy. I hit 4:51, 4:51, 4:51, 4:46, 4:43, and 4:50. These are really fun to do when you have a bunch of guys to talk to the whole time. It's not too hard, it just takes a while to finish. Then we ran back to the school to make 6.5. (half a mile barefoot warmup). I'm not gonna be able to blog the whole rest of the week because I'll be up at camp, but I'll update it when I get back.

High Altitude Camp- Today we got to our campsite and set up camp. We had a bit of relax time and lunch before we headed out on our 4 mile run. It was pretty tough, but really easy compared to all the other runs we did at camp. Our captains talked to us about the camp theme. It's about the attitude not the altitude and about the smileage not the mileage. Pretty good day but I didn't sleep good this night.

High Altitude Camp- Woke up this morning feeling really tired and cold. We went on our 8 mile run which was really hard! Me, Andrew, Cam, and Jake kept up with the longer milers for the first 4 miles and then we slowed down a little on the way back. I feel that we went really well on this run even though it was tough! I think this is the first time I've ran 8 miles at once so far this summer. Our second run today was just an easy 3 miler and was the easiest run we did at camp. We took it pretty slow and went to the lake at the end of it. Today we got our booklets and we took some classes from our coaches. Coach Holt talked to us about goals and daring to go. An example he shared with us was when Nik Wallenda tightroped across the Grand Canyon. Then we talked about some quotes having to do with bravery and courage. One that really stuck out to me was "Heroes may not be braver than anyone else. They're just braver 5 minutes longer." I think 5 minutes longer is my new motto now! Then coach challenged us to make goals (both for running personally and for the whole team), draw them out, and then share them. For my personal goal, I decided to get a PR of sub-18 minutes by the end of this XC season. My team goal was for us to win region this year. After talking with Holt, we went and had a class with Coach Roberts. He talked to us about The Biologic Law of Training and The Training Unit. In his class we learned a lot about how to train and what the components of training are.

High Altitude Camp- This morning we ran a super hard 5 mile hilly run. I tried my hardest to stay up with the big boys, but I ended falling off quite a bit by the time I was supposed to turn around. I didn't do too shabby though. I was the first level 2 guy to finish the uphill behind Andrew and Nick, then I just stuck with Andrew for the rest of the time. For our afternoon, we ran a 3 miler down this super sick trail, but then we had to run back up which was like heck on earth. I was seriously the hardest 1.5 miles I've ever done. Just constant uphill. I tried to stick with Reed for the uphill part and ended up passing him and then he caught up by the end. In our classes with coaches, Coach Holt had us talk about motivation, confidence, having a mind for success, relaxation, the zone, focus, visualization, talking to yourself, and setting routines. This was probably the most informative class of them all. I learned so much that I didn't know before and has inspired me to try all of the things he has suggested. In Coach Bert's class, we learned about having consistency to build mental toughness. In this, he challenged us to work on being more consistent on a certain attribute when it comes to running. I chose to be more self-confident of myself on my runs. Most of the time, I feel like the pain that I had on my run was all in my head and I need to change that. We also talked about commitments. Paul talked to us about knowing our sport and shared with us some websites and challenged us to learn about a runner we didn't know before. I'm definately going to do that.

Coach led us on a trail he'd never done before and it ended up being this super hard, really hilly run. It seemed to go on and on and on. I kept up with the guys for the whole time on this run, but that wasn't an easy task. This whole camp has been so inspiring for me and has made me want to be a better runner than I am now. I have a feeling I've improved so much just over the past few days.

Preston you have improved so much over this summer and I think you're going to be giving people like Andrew a lot of competition this season. Who knows you may be faster than him.

AM- Today Andrew, Cam, Jake, and I all met at Washington Elementary for our tempo. Josh Farish forgot there wasn't organized team practice today so he ran with us (plus some). I was expecting to go on a 7 miler with 2.5 tempo, but Andrew and Cam checked and said it was 5 with 2 tempo. We ran from the elementary school to almost the mall and back, starting and ending our tempo at Harts. This was probably the best tempo I've ever done. I stayed up with Andrew and Cam. We had about a 6:40 average tempo pace, but we got up to like 6 flat pace at the end of it. I didn't even feel very sore or tired by the end of this tempo and it felt pretty easy. I don't think I would have ran this morning if I didn't organize a practice with these guys because 1. I was so tired and 2. I didn't want to run this one on my own.

PM- 3 miles easy. This truly was the easiest run this week despite the 100 degrees with some moderately heavy wind. I decided to just take it as easy as I wanted. I ran the dirt mile/grapevine trails. I had a little sideache on the way back that would usually bug me a lot, but didn't bother me as much as usual... It might be because of the peanut butter bar I ate prior to my run, but we'll never know haha.

OH! I decided to take Coach's challenge and research a runner that I knew nothing about. I looked on some websites and took me a long time to find a runner that I really admired. My runner is Ryan Hall. In his senior year in highschool, he ran a state record time of 4:02.62. He ran at Stanford University. He broke the U.S. half marathon record with a time of 57:54 which killed the previous record. Ryan had the fastest marathon debut by any American, and the fastest marathon ever run by a U.S. citizen with the time of 2:08:24 in London. He ran the fastest marathon by any American with 2:04:58 in the Boston Marathon in 2011. He also qualified to run the marathon in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in 2008.

AM- Today we did 6x1000 repeats. I hit 4:30, 4:48, 4:50, 4:30, 4:32, and 4:38. They were easy, but a little faster than normal. I don't know what's up with me today. I felt super tired and short of breath. The workout, which doesn't usually tire me out, made me extremely tired. I don't know. Maybe I'll feel better by this afternoon. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

PM- Ran in Desert Hells territory for my 3 miler. Ran a nice easy route that ended up being 3.1 miles, but that didn't bother me ;) felt pretty good. Couldn't make it to team practice today, but will try on Thursday.

The times were faster so that may be why you felt a little more tired (maybe).

AM- Today we did a new workout called 1/1 which is just like 30/30s but just double the hit time and distance. I made it all the way to 15 which is the most anybody got because coach stopped us for kid's club. I felt super good today! It felt easier than the 30/30s, but it was still a nice hard push. 1 mile warm .5 mile cool. (half a mile barefoot warmup).

PM- I know for a fact that this was 3.1 miles. I calculated it yesterday with a GPS watch. Yesterday I hit it in 23:35. That for sure is a promise. I say this because none of you are going to believe what I did and I just about hate/love myself for it. I went out on a run purely because I was angry. I didn't even think I was going to do a PM run today. I don't want to say exactly why I was angry, but I was furious. I've calmed down now, but it was bad. So I went out of my grandma's house with my watch and started running. I decided to do the same route as I did yesterday. The exact same route. My watch was running the whole time. The thing that was so shocking about this 3.1 MILE RUN, was that I ran it in 17:58. That is more than a 1:30 PR and this wasn't even a race. I confirm that this was a 3 mile run if not more! I got to the halfway point at like a 9 minute and I decided that I was just gonna kill it. I didn't care what anyone would say. So I started going. I think I was in the zone. I felt amazing during the whole thing. I felt like I was on top of the world. I don't know what the heck happened, but I was not expecting me to run any faster or stronger than I usually do. I don't know what I did different, but I sure dang hope I can run this good at the time trial tomorrow. Coach don't kill me.

AM- Today we ran 8 miles with 3 miles tempo. I figured today would be pretty tough and it was. We had like the biggest tempo group we've ever had on one of these tempos though. It was me, Cam, Andrew, Nick, Jake, Jason, Dallin, and Jake at the beginning and then by the end of the tempo it was me, Cam, Andrew, Nick, and Jake. We lost a few guys but we made it. Our splits were 6:40, 6:30, and 6:17 for the last one. I felt myself falling off towards the end of the tempo so I told Andrew and Nick to let me run in front of them so I would be pushed and that seemed to work. I'm pretty sure that I ran a lot faster today then I did at the time trial and this was a whole mile more! I don't know... (half a mile warmup).

AM- Today I ran on my own because my poor grandma can't take me to practice. I ran near Snow Canyon High. I did 3 miles before I started my hills and then a dog chase and ended at nearly 7 miles. For my hills I did 5x1 minutes and they were really tough. I was consistent at running to about the same place every time and felt satisfied with those. Then an evil dog came out of nowhere and started to chase me! It was a fast little devil and ended up making me sprint half a mile and then it gave up and I reigned victorious. Then I decided to find a new hill so the dog didn't find me again. Then I did 3x30 seconds and they were awesome. Each one I went farther and faster then the last. It was sweet and I felt good with those. It felt pretty much the same as doing them in Hell's Hole.

PM- Finally got around to measuring my 17:58 and guess what... I lied to you guys. What I thought was a 5k ended up to be only 2.94 miles. Still a huge improvement and a definite PR. I took it slow today and ran the 2.94 miles in about 23 minutes. Someone honked at me near the end and scared the jibby out of me! Felt dead by the end and I have some pain in my left calf, but it should be fine.

I hope I feel better sorewise by the race tomorrow because I really want to do good. I sure regret not starting running earlier.

PM- Feeling a lot better this afternoon. I felt pretty dehydrated though and I'm going to take care of that from now on. 3 easy this afternoon, but we went pretty dang fast. Probably the fastest I've gone on one of these runs. On the way there, we were all together, but then Byron and Trevor started to pull off a little and me, Cam, Dave, and Nick were the only ones who went with them and we were going fast! I was feeling pretty tired at the end and during weights and plios(how do you spell it?). I'm trying to get myself inspired for this race tomorrow... I just don't know how. I'm dreading the race tomorrow more than anything. Not my best running day today.

AM- Half a mile warmup. We went on a 5 miler to the double churches and back. I felt pretty good the way there, but got pretty tired by the end of the run. My legs were hurting enough to bug me, but nothing too serious. Afterwards we did 4x200 m accelerations and I felt really good on those. I'm trying to get myself pumped for the race and I'm definitely going to try my hardest today.

Race- I warmed up a good 1.5 miles and I felt like that was an appropriate amount of warmup and then we started the race. My first mile was 6:11 and I caught with Jake Taylor by the time we got to the track on the first lap and we were passing guys left and right and I'm glad he was there to help push me. We were still close together on the second lap and not much changed there but I started slowing down. The last lap was awful and I got passed by maybe 10 guys on that last lap. Overall a pretty good race and it is a PR. I pushed hard and I did my best. Good race.

PM- Ran our half a mile warmup then ran to the Sunrise Hill. We did 5x1 minutes hard then 7x30 seconds hard. And boy was it hard! I ran pretty good on the first 1 minute and just kept the same pretty much the whole timeIt felt like I was going to pass out after the 1 minutes so I went a got a quick drink then started the 30 seconds. These are always my favorite, and I was getting farther and farther each time. I decided on the last one that I wanted to CAM it so I did and finished the last 30 second in the lead. Then we had to run back and that was the really crappy part of the workout. Then we hit the weight room.

Race- Best race ever! This was such a fast race. When we started, I was getting cut off by everyone, but I fought my way through by the end of the first mile and was around 15th place. I passed maybe 2 people on the second lap and was keeping a pretty good pace with this Hellian. I tried to pass this guy the whole last mile, but whenever I tried to pass him, he'd run right in front of me! It turns out this guy was really stupid because he didn't know where to enter the track on the last lap so he kept going the wrong way and he was passed by about a billion people. I almost felt bad for the guy. I ended up in 11th place 10 seconds behind Cam. I was 1 place from getting a medal and Jake won't let me hear the end of it. I ran 17:50 which is a 1:16 PR but this was a super fast race! After the race, I went to the running center and got some XC spikes and I'm super excited for SUU and I'm gonna try to medal there, but if I don't, that's okay too. End mileage was 6 miles.

AM- I've been dying to run since the race on Saturday! It felt really good this morning and I wish every run was like this. Easy AC three before school and then we did plyos afterwards. Good to have all these guys at morning runs.

PM- Started with a .5 warmup and then we did our agilites and core exercises while we talked about upcoming events. There were a ton of youngsters there today, but I bet that we're gonna lose a lot of them in the next few weeks. The level 2 guys ran a 1.5 warmup and cooldown before starting our repeats. Then we ran 6x1000 m repeats at a pretty hard pace. The first few were easy, but my energy level was just on the floor today. I was dead tired by the end of the third one and then Danny stopped because he was hurting or something so I stayed more with Jason on the rest of them. I hit faster then my time on all of these and it wasn't too hard other then the fact that I was super tired. I'm gonna get a lot of sleep tonight to prepare me for tomorrow.

PM- 7 miles easy, .5 warmup, and Paul told me to add .5 for the trail at the park. I stayed with the guys until the turn around and then I kind of died off and it is not fun running in 108 degree weather by yourself with nobody within 100 meters of you. I got to a point where I was hoping someone would come out and shoot me in the leg because I wanted to be done so bad! I swear I almost passed out. I need to drink more water. Took one of the new leg ice baths in the tubs we got. That felt pretty good. Also I have just recieved word that I have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow so I'm gonna have to do my practice on my own. Is it smart to do 1/1s on the dirt mile? PM- Couldn't make it to practice because of an orthodontist appointment, but I did it right when I got home. I did a 1.5 warmup and then I did the workout on the grass loops near my house. I mathmatically did the distance in my head which isn't very reliable, but I had my watch to tell me the times so I did 15 of them and I saw coach drive by right before my last one so that got my spirits going. It was really tough and I was sweating like no tomorrow. It is not fun to do these on your own. It seemed to go on and on and on and on and on and on. Afterwards I did just about a mile of cooldown. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to do striders before or after cooldown.... so I did them after.

Only Byron, Bryan, Logan and I did plios this morning which was weird.

The race started and I was about in the middle of everyone and I couldn't get passed anybody. I ran with Cam for a little bit and then I started to push ahead a little bit and I could see the front pack. I tried to go up with them, but I just couldn't. I ran with Jake and Logan for a little bit at the end of the second lap and then Logan fell off and Jake started to push ahead. I couldn't keep up. At the final stretch it was me, Dave, and Josh. Whoever got last out of the three of us would not get a shirt so I decided I didn't want it to be me ;) I did NOT want to get 11th again! AM- Easy 3. Right when we started I was having sharp stabbing pains in my lower left back. It really hurt, but I got over it fairly quickly. After that, I had similar pains in my right glute. That ended by about 3/4 done. The rest was pain-free, but I had never experienced stabbing pains like these. They weren't enough to slow me down behind the group, but they still hurt. Hopefully it doesn't happen during the race.

Race- We went to the Dixie All-Comers today and boy did I not do as good as I would've liked. I started up with Andrew and only kept with him for not even half a mile. I started dying about then. I went the whole race getting passed person after person and I felt like I could do nothing about it. And that's why I didn't do good. I lost before I even started because of my bad attitude. That and my diet and hydration are the main things I think I need to change. I tend to have the worst attitude about myself during races. I ended up running a 19:21. Not exactly satisfied with my time, but I could've done a lot worse.

All runners have poor races. Even the world's best runners have a bad race from time to time. But what makes them the best in the world is that they learn from those races, they use it to build them up instead of tear them down. Keep working hard and use this race to help you do better next time and chances are you will.

Thanks, Cam! I guess you have to have bad races or else you'd never have a good one. :)

AM- 3 miles easy. Felt pretty normal this morning. Nothing hurt, kept up fine, good run! AC route.

PM- 6 miles w/striders (half a mile warmup). Struggled a bit this run. My legs hurt so bad at about the 5th mile to the end. I kept up until we had about a mile to go and then I started to fall off. Super tired as well on this run. Striders afterwards went okay and I did them normally.

AM- 3 miles AC. This morning I felt a little sore in the legs. I kept up fine, but it was a bit of a struggle.

PM- 1/1s 1 mile warm 1 mile cooldown. I made it to 8 today with the increased amount of distance. It was so hard, I couldn't believe it. Felt okay in my legs and most of my problems was just my tiredness. Didn't feel as bad today as yesterday which is improvement.

AM- 3 miles easy barefoot 4 miles total. Felt extremely good this morning and ran this fairly painless. 4x200s afterwards on the track and I went pretty strong on those.

Runathon- First 3 miles of my runathon experience. I hit pretty okay for not trying too hard! My first was a 5:45, Second was 5:34, and third was 5:43. Didn't feel too bad but my arches started to feel really uncomfortable. Race walking went really good and I took 3rd in my main event: the 50 m. It was sweet!

PM- I was way too sore today to even think about running. I iced and stretched today and hopefully I feel ready to run on Monday.

AM- Easy 3. Felt pretty good. Monday morning soreness as always, but it felt better by the afternoon. Plyos afterwards and they went okay. All today during school my arch was killing me and it was so uncomfortable to walk. It still feels like that now.

PM- 5x1000 repeats 91%. I was supposed to hit a 4:10, but went a little fast on the first one and just got faster after that. I went 4:06, :405, 3:58, 3:56, and 3:54. Felt really super tired during this workout and it felt like I was pushing it pretty hard. 1.5 miles warm/cool. Weights afterwards.

AM- 3 miles easy AC route. Me and Byron were a little late and I decided to go a little faster and try to catch up to the guys. I was by "myself" for about a mile during the run then I caught Colton and eventually the rest of the guys. I honestly don't know what makes the huge difference when I run by myself as opposed to with everyone, but I go faster, stronger, and seem to hurt less when I'm by myself. I need to learn how to reverse that!

PM- .5 warmup, 1 mile warmup. Our top JV guys (and me :P) had a time trial today to see who would get the final varsity spot. I wasn't planning on racing it, but decided to last minute. So we did 6 1/1s and then we lined up for the 1.5 mile trial. I felt like I did pretty good even though I wasn't up with the front guys. I finished 7th out of the 10 of us. Which ranks me 6th (non-scoring) on JV! I've got to change that! Cooled down to 5.5

AM- 3 miles easy AC route. We went a little quick (around sub 7 pace) this morning which usually happens when coach isn't there. Did plyos afterwards and on the side sides I hurt my arch pretty bad! During school it didn't bother me as much though.

PM- .5 warm, 1 warm, Michigan, 1 cool, striders, weights. I felt pretty pumped for Michigans today because of the race yesterday! I was determined to get B standard (28:10) and I completely demolished my goal with a 26:47!! There was nobody within 20 seconds of me in front or behind me when I finished and for most of the race. My arch started bugging me at about mile 3 and never went away, but that was just a minor setback. I felt like I did really good today and I just hope to improve each time. Striders afterwards felt easier than ever.

PM- .5 mile warm, 5 miles easy Sandberg route then 4x200s. Felt pretty good today, but we were going, as always in these "easy" runs, too fast for my liking. Kept up just fine and did pretty good on the 200s. Just another day in the hood.

PM- .5 warm, 1.5 warm, 4x1000m repeats 93%, 1.5 cool. Felt pretty crappy on the warmup because it was so hot and my knee hurt. I was just thinking that it's just 4 repeats so I'll just try to hit my time and have a mediocre workout. We started and I hit a ton better than I thought I would. Goal time: 4:05. First 3 times: 3:54, 3:53, 3:44. On the last one, coach told us to just go hard on it! I was thinking just kill me now. We started the last one and I was in front for quite a bit! PM- .5 warm, 1.5 warm, time trial, hill sprints, 1.5 cool. Felt not very great on the time trial but for some reason I never do. My back was having stabbing pains for a little bit during the race, but it wasn't a big setback. Ended with a pr 12:07. Could probably have pushed harder but I'm fine with my time. Hills sprints were pretty solid.

AM- 3 miles easy AC route. Showed up on time again! It was pretty easy this morning and had quite a few guys there. We had a "mandatory" meeting afterwards about goals.

PM- .5 warm, 5 miles easy, 4x200. Today Trevor had a wonderful idea about going to the Neon Spider route which none of us had done before. In the run there's a long tunnel that is pitch black and a few of the guys were getting pretty freaked out but we all survived. Felt super good on the 200s. On the last one, Trevor had us imagine he was a Hellian at the end of a race and challenged us all to pass him. I was the first one done haha! Also it was a 200 pr.

PM- .5 warm, 1 warm, 3/3s, 4x30 seconds hard, 1 mile cool. I hit 4 3/3s! Which was pretty surprising because I was trying to hit 2! It really surprised me, but I stopped before we started the 5th one. It was way tough. The 4x30s were pretty solid. The first three were okay and the last one, I just cammed it. I went all out and hit the 200 in probably sub 28. Then I cooled down to mileage.

Duel in the Desert- 1.5 cool, race, then cool to mileage. We started the race and I felt really good. It was pretty much a PV race. There were like 8 of PV making up the top group. We were going and I started to fall back a bit after about half the race. My arch started to have the problem it had a few weeks ago and I just kept falling back! I went from the top 5 to 7th place by the end. I really regret not daring to lead the race because I bet if I had, I would have done a lot better. At the end, I could here the first Hellian right behind me and I did not want him to beat me so I out kicked him in the end. Got a course PR of 18:28, but I still didn't feel like I did my best. Even though DH didn't run their top JV, I think we did really good as a team.

Nebo- 1.5 mile warmup, 3 mile race, 1.5 cooldown. Felt really good on the warmup. I started the race right behind Andrew and stayed pretty close to him until the start of the last lap. I rolled my ankle on the track and that hurt so bad. It hurt for about half of the last lap, but at around the same time I rolled my ankle, I had gotten one of the worst sideaches I've ever had. I was stupid and thought that eating 2.5 hours before when it usually takes me 4 hours. BUT I hit a PR either way with a 17:43. My first mile was a PR of 5:28 (shows how great I did in track last year). But what really surprised me was that I hit a 2 mile PR as well! I crossed the 2 mile mark at around 11:30ish and in my trials, I usually don't even go sub-12! I was definitelyon my way to going sub 17:30, but given my surcumstances at the start of the last mile, I think I did alright.

PM- .5 warm, 1 warm, Michigan, 1 cool. I did not run good in this workout. I did nothing right. I had told myself before that I was going to ease into it and finish strong, but as always, I went out faster than I should have. I went with Andrew, Logan, and the rest of them. I feel like I should be at their level with how hard I've been working, but all of my results say otherwise. Starting to wonder if I'm ever even going to have a chance to run varsity. Finished at around 28:00. Got beat by tons of people who I beat last time. I deproved since last time. Goals: get more hydrated, get mentally tough, and run my guts out at Cedar and prove to myself that I'm a better runner than I've been showing.

I was with Cam for about the whole first lap at around maybe top 10-15 (place) and then I realized that I was feeling really good! I started to speed up a bit and passed quite a few guys. I fought my way to 4th place by the steep downhill and I made my mind up that I would fight for 3rd, but Sage (3rd at the time) was pretty far ahead of me. I tried really hard to catch him and did by the time there was 800ish meters left and we fought and fought for that 3rd place spot all the way to the end, where I barely out sprinted him and took the spot behind Reed. This has definitely been my best race ever! Ran a Pr of 16:54.5. I beat Byron's Sophomore time on the same course, which is promising! Got my first medal ever and our JV team killed! On my first set, i started at the Devil's Start Line. I made it a goal to finish a whole lap (did not end up happening...) and ended at the Glittery Sands of Doom (.8 on the loop) and did a little better on my second one surprisingly and made it just past Death Desert (.6 on the loop) and did my last one alright and finished at around the Pole of Destruction. It is a 30 second PR since the last time I ran a mile on the track. I treated it like a race and tried to win, but Josh came up at the end a beat me. Feel really good about this track season because of this. A lot of us were within 5 seconds of each other. In other business, I got athlete of the week today which was super cool! I don't think I deserved all the praise coach gave me because it was just 1 good race, but it was way awesome to get presented with such a high honor. It may only be one race but you have to start somewhere. You can't get to two or three without passing one first. One good race will usually lead to another. Coach wants us to see just how great it feels after you've pushed through that pain to help us to learn to dare to go. That is the whole concept of athlete of the week is to show that rewards come from working hard and daring to go.

It felt like I had pulled something in my hip-flexer or something because that area just hurt so bad! Anyways I went from 4th on the team back to 6th by the end, but I did end up beating DHs 4th guy so that's good. I think I started out a little faster than I should have and I should have just stayed relaxed the first bit so I could pull another Cedar, but I ended up doing okay at this meet. I finished just barely in front of Sunshine and a second or 2 behind Cam. I'll use this as a learning experience so that I can do better at region. My team was me, Cam and Andrew. We led the workout on both of the sets which was pretty cool. Really tough and fast. 1 mile cool.

Me and Cam took the initiative to invite a bunch of us JV guys to run with us for the Saturday run, but the only people who actually showed up was Cam, Andrew, Jake B, and me. We ran from Wash. Elementary to Maverick and our Fartleks were 30 sec, 1 min, 30 sec. Felt pretty good today and ran the run with ease. Legs felt a little heavy today.

PM- .5 warm, 3 miles easy, 4x200 hard. Felt mediochre today on my run, but that's how I always feel on mondays. Had a hard time breathing on the 200s... In fact, I had a hard time on the 200s altogether. Had a speaker come and talk to us after practice and she gave me lots of good ideas.

I want to wish everyone running region tomorrow good luck. I'm going to be running my very best race so that PV can take the JV team title. I checked the weather forecast and it looks as though there's a 0% chance of Thunder!

Race- 2 miles warm, 5k, 4.5 miles cool. 18:52 and 23rd. I felt like I prepared really well for this day, but it didn't turn out as I expected. I had started out way too slow at the beginning and just could not fight my way to the top almost costing our team the win. Luckily some of our other guys really stepped it up. Ran about 30 seconds slower than D in the D. I'm kind of really disappointed on the outcome but there's always next time. On the plus side, we won Region and that's what my goal was.

It's alright because it's still a lot faster time than last year. I didn't have the same group as last time when I ran a 5:01 it was just Krenny right behind me. Met up with Skylar, Cam, Jake, Jake, and Andrew and we did our Fartleks before the cave and we did 30 seconds (minute rest), 1 minute (minute rest), 1:30 (1:30 rest), 30 seconds. They were nice and hard and I felt really good and we all kept up. When we got to the tunnel. Jake B wimped out and turned around which concerned me (him going off on his own), but we ventured on. Nice adventure because Andrew and Skylar have never been there. Feet got soaked.

AM- 3 miles easy AC route. Started up morning runs again today. Byron was late today (which means so was Matt, Dave, Bryan and me). Me and Byron ran UB pace to try to catch up to the team and finally did around the 1.5 mile mark. It was like a faster pace tempo. Bryan chilled at a swag pace and fell behind dramatically... That's what you get for going swag pace. Matt went regular pace and stayed a good way behind the main group. Dave did not run. Paul was there as well as Andrew, Krenny, Coach, Jake, and others. Cam did not run. Speaking of Cam, he got a haircut last week. Nick was righteous and read scriptures before he came. Jake Taylor drove to the run. Andrew is still a redhead. Abel forgot to bring Skylar today and he borrowed spandex from Mia and wore it this morning. :) Jason, Josh or Josh, Jared, Skylar, Chandler, Kyler, Reed, ALL THE FRESHMEN, Trent, and a lot of girls did NOT show up this morning.

PM- .5 prewarm, 1.5 warm, 4x1200 repeats w/recovery, 1.5 cool. Sucked it up in this workout today running a 3:57 on the first 1200 and then got in at around 4:20-4:25 on all the rest. First one killed me, but I did stick with Byron and Abel which was cool (they were running 1600). Felt nauseous from the 2nd one till the end and there were strong winds on the last 2.

I felt really good and accomplished my lifelong goal of running to Dixie Rock from my home. Mental note for next time: do it when it's light outside. It was super scary running in the dark. I felt like I was going pretty slow, but it was a pretty average pace for my regular runs. I really didn't want to run this far today, but I had jokingly told my mom that I was going to run to Dixie Rock and she said that I couldn't do it so I pretty much had to. Around the last mile, me Dave and Dallen were in our own little group but me and Dallen just took off and started passing some guys and I ended up with 19:01 and 12th on the team. PM- .5 prewarm, 1.5 warm, 3x1200 w/recovery, 1.5 cool. Went in to this feeling super great (except I think I'm developing a headcold because I was super congested) and I did pretty good on my first one with a 3:59. It really took the wind out of me, but I was feeling a little less pooped out by the end of the recovery and I really slowed down on the second one and came in with a 4:11. All that was in my head on the last one was just to improve from that horrid time. Coach told us to focus more on the second half of these and that's what I wanted to do so I purposefully held back a little on the first half of my last one and I really took off on the last half. I was with Jason and he was pushing to keep with me, but I am a really stubborn runner when I really want something. I started to push away from him at about the baseball field and caught Krenny and ended up gapping them by 7 seconds by the end! Last one was a 4:07.

Let me just say that it is so hard to motivate yourself to run fast on these workouts by yourself. Ran a few laps around the block then ran to Washington Elementary and used their "track". Coach said that one lap was just short of a 400 so I added a little on each lap. My times were super surprisingly good for me! I hit 1:09, 1:08, 1:06, 1:05, 1:05 On the Washington Track!! Sure I might have been just a little off on the distance, but this is the first time in a long time I got better on each repeat! I think the reason I did so good was because there were some little kids playing on the playground cheering me on... Just goes to show that you can do anything if you want to impress little kids.

Anyways, I decided before the run that I was going to do some of the Grapevine trail with a few dirt miles thrown in, but it didn't end up that way; I combined 4 of our infamous summer routes into one! I went up to the dirt mile and ran the north side of it and went past Maverick onto Grapevine. I ran as far onto Grapevine as I could before crying because how scary it is and started my tempo on the way back from Grapevine until the Parkway hill (down) and then I found a nice little trail on the side of Parkway Hill that was the much safer (and funner) alternative. Ran the tempo in a 6:15 (I had planned on doing 2 miles, but I felt gross). Then I turned onto Telegraph and got quite a number of whistles and honks ;) ran down until I got to Scenic Drive, famous for having the most unrelatable name ever, then ran home. PM- .5 warm, 1.5 warm, 1 mile time trial, 1.5 cool. I felt super good today at school, but when we started the warmup I felt super awful (legs felt fine though). We started and I could not find a good position. I went around a huge group of guys around the 200 and I think that really saved my time from being crappy. I crossed the first lap around 1:12. I kept around the same position placewise the whole time and I don't remember the rest of my splits but ended with a 5:02. Just barely off my PR. I'm just so relieved that it was not a deprovement (as a lot of my workouts and races have been going).

What I did well: I ran a nice solid time. I am proud of the time I got even though I could do better.

What I could improve on: Coach talked to me afterwards and he said that I need to stop fighting and just run smoothly. I also think not taking out as fast and just easing into it would help my time too.

Goals for next time: Let's PR this mutha cussa.

Soon after that, Krenny fell off and Jake sped up. Me and Dave crossed the 2 mile split with an awful 11:40ish I think. PM- 4 miles easy w/4xsunrise hills. Felt pretty sore today from yesterday's brutal workout. Ran my first 2 hills pretty good, but the last 2 were not my best performance. My last one especially was kind of crappy. I had a horrible cramp today though and also felt like i was going to throw up again today. It's the strangest feeling.

PM- 3 miles easy and then striders down my street. It was so so cold this evening and I thought I was going to die of frostbite but other then that, it was a pretty easy run.

PM- 4 miles easy Washington, 4x200s. Felt really cold this afternoon, but it was a really fun run! on the 200s I started out doing pretty good on the first 2, my 3rd one was okay but then my last one was just awful. I just can't seem to get the final part of my workout done lately. I've been reading Elite Minds which has given me a ton of ideas with mental toughness that I tried out today and surprisingly helped I think. I'm expecting at least a top 20 performance from me at Footlocker and I hopefully will use some of the techniques I have been reading.

Race- Warmed up 1.5 miles with Andrew, Jake and Skylar. We went to the start line and did some stride outs. I was feeling really good about today but it didn't exactly show in my race. I was hoping for at least a top 40 finish, but I ended up in 63rd. I think that my problem was that I was worrying about the hills too much when I wasn't at a hill part so I tried to "conserve" my energy when I should have just gone. My first mile was pretty quick but so was everyone's. I stayed about the same placewise for the whole second mile (was passed by some guys but I passed about the same amount) On the last mile, I passed a good amount of guys but I still didn't get my goal placewise. PRd the course by 2:30 since last year so that's GREAT! Now I just need to improve the same amount of time for next year haha.

Warbeast! You are a freaking stud man! Good race today! I wish I could have been there to see it. Anyways, you are going to be faster than Byron someday! :)

Heading into winter training next week and I just wanted to vent my feelings about this upcoming track season.

To start off, I'm super excited because winter training seems to be where I improve the most! I went last year from about a 6:30 in the mile to a 5:34. Since then I've improved that even more to a 5:01 just a couple weeks ago. Hoping to get that time into the low 4:40s by the end of track season. It will not be an easy task, but I'm willing to put forth the physical and mental effort to accomplish it.

With my 3200, I expect that to lower to a low 10:40s if not faster. This past XC season, I have been examining my strengths and weaknesses in running and have found that I am not the strongest finisher in the world. In fact, my last rep or lap in workouts is usually my worst. My last mile in cross races has always been less than impressive (with an exception of a few races and miles). I am kind of a wimp when it comes to pain and suffering, and usually just give up when I "can't take it anymore". That is why this season I am really going to work on speeding up when I hurt the most in workouts or races. I hope to apply this and speed up my 3200 7th and 8th laps (which last season, were my slowest) and also to my 800's 2nd lap.

I rememer a race last season where coach made me do the big three at region. It was the 800 and I was just as ready as ever. I ran the first lap in my record 400 time (which wasn't saying much last season) and I was actually in the lead. If I would have followed through with that, I would have won my heat and PRd. I was hurting and I just decided to slow down just a little. That little added up to being a lot because I could not get myself to speed up after that. Ended up somewhere in the middle of the pack and had probably one of the worst races ever. It was an eye opener that no matter how much you hurt, you must be relentless and push through the pain and just push the thought of pain into the back of your head. 800 this season, I want to get to sub 2:16.

AM- 3 miles easy Dirt Mile route. Could not wait to go running again today. That feeling quickly changed as soon as I hit a quarter mile. My legs are so out of running shape. But they started to feel back to normal when I got about 2 miles into it and then it was fun.

PM- 4 miles easy Loser Loop route. I made out a loop in my head that I was pretty sure was at least 4 miles, but I guess the length of miles has grown larger since last time I ran because it wasn't even 3 haha! So I finished the loser loop and then ran down coach's street twice and then ran back and forth in front of my house forever. Finally got it to 4 miles. 7:17 was my average pace (although I did run a 6:30 mile and a 4:01 K) today which is pretty quick compared to my other runs this week.

Haha! Not until I find a loop that's exactly the right mileage!

AM- 6 miles easy Green Fire route. Decided that I want a little more challenging run today so I decided to go into green springs with hitting the fire station hill at the same time. Surprisingly, I held up at a 7:19 pace for my average and the hill didn't hurt my legs at all! Feeling freaky fresh.

AM- 5 miles easy Chuckawala trail. Ran with Abel, Krenny, Byron, and my cousin Tanner (who surprisingly kept up really well). Was a lot slower than I've been going with an average of 8:39. But it felt pretty nice. The other guys ran 7 which made me late to my dentist appointment and Byron's battery died so we had a really nice lady help us jump it.
