| | AM- 4 miles easy Starbucks. Felt really warm this morning and my long sleeve was sweaty after. I hate heat.
PM- 2 miles warm, 1x1000@goal 1600 pace, 7x400@current 1600 pace w/1:00 recovery, cool to 60 minutes, felt really so freaking hot today, but I had prepared myself to run pretty quick and I pushed myself hard despite the heat. My 1000 was 2:48. Went out pretty fast on the first 400 (like 1:05), stuck in behind Andrew until there were 400 meters left and then just went ALL TO THE WALL the last 400. Actually a 1000 PR, but I never run it anyways haha. and my 400s were all around 1:10 or 1:11, last one 1:08. Was able to make it through hitting all of my times. My throat hurts like a motha cussa though! Got another workout tomorrow and also one on Wednesday so that's going to be fun.

| | AM- 4 miles easy Sunrise. Felt so dang warm this morning! Last night, my knee started absolutely bugging me, hard to sleep. Woke up this morning and it hurt even more, decided to run on it and now it hurts when I walk or even move my leg. Hopefully this isn't anything big. It's just really annoying
PM- 2 mile warm around DI, Coe#1or1x(100,110,120,130,140,150,160,170,180,190,200), cool to 45 minutes. This is a workout founded by Sir Sebastian Coe back in the days of Moses, when the only olympic event was sprinting from the dinosaurs. It's pretty much just used to sharpen our speed as it nears time to taper. We start easy peasy at 1600 pace on the 100, then speed up on each one until we are all out 400 pace on the 200. My 100 was 17.5, but then my 200 was high 28. The workout is not necessarily hard, but it gets the legs moving for sure. Still kind of winded from yesterdays workout though. Knee still hurts, but didn't bug me during the workout, I cannot tell a lie.
BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to the freaking high windspeeds in St. George today. JV meet at Hurricane was cancelled because of it. Luckily our workout was with the wind and not against.

| | AM- Morning Workout!! 1.5 warm, 6x800@goal3200(2:28), cool to 52ish minutes. The team got together for a morning workout today because we won't have time in the afternoon to get one in because of the elementary meet. It was still a little windy out and it was chipper out there, so I'd say give or take a second or 2. Ran 2:30 for the first 4, 2:28, then 2:27. These weren't impossibly hard, but my legs are tired from the workouts yesterday and Monday. It was doable today. Not a bad workout!
PM- 4 miles easy

| | AM- 4 miles easy Starbucks! Pretty nice run this morning. They're putting a fence in by the cliff so the guys can no longer threaten to push me down.
PM- 6 miles easy w/4x200s. Pretty fun run today. We decided to do the shoe run and ended up finding some not quite as cool objects as usual. We did, however, find a cow bone out in Sandbergs! So that was cool.
BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Collin Morrison. Yet another Lehi guy is on the blog. There just might be more of them than frequent PV guys on here now. Also they're all decently fast!
Dixie 3200 Race Preview! So this year, it's looking to be a pretty good race. As of right now, there are 7 sub-10 guys signed up, along with Sage Ducote, who ran a 9:44 in AZ. We have Ben Keller, Hellen Keller's brother, from Ogden. Region 9 track is being represented greatly, with a total of 30 region 9 runners and only 9 from other regions. All inserted times are legitimate, with the exception of Nephi Eschler, 9:45. Also we have Joe Bradshaw from Parowan, who used to go to Washington Elementary with me and my main man Paul. I'm going out to PR on Saturday and boost my confidence with my running. Luckily I have all of these fast guys in the race to help push me to my limits. Gonna get some more PV state qualifiers! Jake, Mitch, Andrew, and Dallen all have a legitimate chance! I'm rooting for those guys.

| | AM- 4 miles easy Starbucks. Pretty cool run and I was feeling really good.
PM- 7 miles off and on at the meet. Our guys all looked strong in the 1600, no more qualifiers yet though. Nick and Paul killed the 400 and went 1, 2 in their heat. I pretty much just warmed up with the guys, ran as they were prepping/racing, and then cooled down with them until I had 50 minutes. Got some striders in afterwards and I felt strong on those which is a really good sign for tomorrow. 3200 BABY!!

Dixie Invitational 3200m (2 Miles) 00:09:58, Place overall: 4, Place in age division: 3 | | RACE- Warmed up quite a bit on the track before the girl's heats started, then ran a bunch on the turf. Got myself prepared to run fast, then we started the race. I was seeded 4 going into it and that's how I finished. Not a PR, but it was my second fastest ever. The first mile was pretty chill and I was with the rest of the PV guys as well as Sage from DH, Jaiden, Josh, Bronco, and Spencer were all ahead of us. I caught up to Spencer with a surge and he would not give up the whole rest of the race. It was a battle. We passed Bronco lap 6 and we were just making great progress. The last lap, however, he outfought me and got me by 2 seconds. Sage from DH was just right behind me. Pretty good race with some good things to take out of it. Still no more PV state qualifiers for guys, but they're all so dang close. This was a good day, but I'm going to be able to run it even faster come championship time. I CANT WAIT FOR STATE
BLOG BEAST OF THE DAY goes to Alli Peterson because she's pretty dope and blogged for the first time in like a year yesterday. One of PV's fastest girls and she's only getting better.
