| | AM- 3 miles easy AC route. Felt really good this morning. Had minimum soreness. Did plyos afterwards. Paul deprived me of my rolling capabilities so if I get shin splints it is Paul's fault!
PM- .5 warm, 1.5 warm, 2k, 1k, 1.5 cooldown. Felt pretty good and strong today on the workout. Hit a 7:18 for my 2k and 3:36 on the 1k. These were not all out they were just at our predetermined pace. New guy Zack came out today and he's actually faster then I thought he'd be based on today's workout. He was right with Dallen! I don't think me and him got out on the right foot because Paul and them were making fun of me, b

| | AM- 3 miles easy AC route. My leg was hurting me a little bit, but other than that, it was a very nice easy run.
PM- .5 warm, 1 warm, Michigan, 1 cool. I did not run good in this workout. I did nothing right. I had told myself before that I was going to ease into it and finish strong, but as always, I went out faster than I should have. I went with Andrew, Logan, and the rest of them. I feel like I should be at their level with how hard I've been working, but all of my results say otherwise. Starting to wonder if I'm ever even going to have a chance to run varsity. Finished at around 28:00. Got beat by tons of people who I beat last time. I deproved since last time. Goals: get more hydrated, get mentally tough, and run my guts out at Cedar and prove to myself that I'm a better runner than I've been showing.

| | AM- 3 miles easy AC route. Left shin hurting me today and I'm exhausted from the Mighigan yesterday. Other than that, it was pretty easy.
PM- .5 warm, 2 easy, 4x400 R, 1 easy, 4xhillsprints, 4x100 sprints. Came into it feeling like I was going to die, but I felt pretty good on this workout! My 400s were strong for not all out. Hit 1:18, 1:16, 1:15, 1:10. I'm just glad I improved on each one. On the hills, I hit around 15 seconds for all of those. 100m sprints hit high 14s on all of them. Pretty consistent workout for me today. Did it all with Cam and Andrew. Hit the weight room afterwards.

| | AM- 3 miles easy AC route. We went a littl faster today than usual, but it still felt pretty good. Had coach's motivational talk afterwards.
PM- .37 warm, 3 miles easy, 4x200s (equal recovery), .38 cool. Could not make it to practice today because of an orthodontist appointment so I just ran when I got home. Ran up to the dirt mile, did 3 loops, then I tried to divide the loop into 8 equal parts for the 200s and I think it was pretty accurate. Felt good today, but my shin started acting up on the 200s. Ran back down to my house.

Cedar Invitational (2.95 Miles) 00:16:54, Place overall: 3, Place in age division: 2 | | AM- 3 miles easy. Not very many guys there this morning. Felt good and pretty easy.
Cedar Invitational- warmed up 1.5 miles and headed to the start line. I didn't even line up at the front for the fear of starting out too fast so we started and I was going a nice pace that I knew I would be able to hold for the whole race. I was with Cam for about the whole first lap at around maybe top 10-15 (place) and then I realized that I was feeling really good! I started to speed up a bit and passed quite a few guys. I fought my way to 4th place by the steep downhill and I made my mind up that I would fight for 3rd, but Sage (3rd at the time) was pretty far ahead of me. I tried really hard to catch him and did by the time there was 800ish meters left and we fought and fought for that 3rd place spot all the way to the end, where I barely out sprinted him and took the spot behind Reed. This has definitely been my best race ever! Ran a Pr of 16:54.5. I beat Byron's Sophomore time on the same course, which is promising! Got my first medal ever and our JV team killed! Cooled down with Cam about 1.5 miles.

| | .25 prewarm, 1 warm, 3x(2 min H, 1 min E, 1 min H, 30 sec E, 30 sec H, 30 sec E) I'm calling it around 4.75. Ran up to the infamous Dirt Mile (my home course that I'm pretty much the master of) to do my workout all alone. This was probably one of the hardest Saturday workouts I've ever done. On my first set, i started at the Devil's Start Line. I made it a goal to finish a whole lap (did not end up happening...) and ended at the Glittery Sands of Doom (.8 on the loop) and did a little better on my second one surprisingly and made it just past Death Desert (.6 on the loop) and did my last one alright and finished at around the Pole of Destruction. Cooled down 1 mile.
