| | AM- 30 minutes easy
PM- 60 minutes with 1x(1600, 1200, 1000, 800, 400). Struggled for the first time this year. I felt so drained and my legs were dead from plyos, weights, and the heated long run yesterday. I did stay up on the 400 the whole time. Our guys did awesome at the Dixie All Comers today... Our wolf pack is so strong and Carson absolutely wrecked it!

| | AM- 30 minutes easy. Lots of guys there this morning and it was a fun time. According to Hell Raiser, we were going 4:40 pace the whole time so I guess you can say we're doing pretty alright. This morning's run was our race for the week haha. Can't wait for Murray next weekend. Get to race with some northern teams! Our wolf pack is ready to prey on some newbs
PM- 2x(3xminute sand hills) I did much better than last week! Stuck in the top 5 for most of them. Focused on starting off a little chiller and finishing strong
Fun Fact: Heard that the Davis JV guys went 1-26 then 28-35 in their preregion race yesterday hahaha

| | AM- 13 miles w/2x(1, 2, 1 fartleks) up on Brian Head. Pretty sick run on my own and I made it out to one of my favorite lookouts. Somehow, Brian Head is different than anywhere else in the world where it seems that everywhere you go is uphill both ways... Tripped on like the only downhill after I slid on some loose dirt and I scraped my knee up a little.

Pine View TT #3 (2 Miles) 00:10:35, Place overall: 5 | | RACE- BHNP 2 mile. warmed up, then we went. Felt really hot today but we were able to group up well for the most part and get it done! The final stretch, I heard Andrew a little bit behind me (ended up 4 seconds ahead of him) and tried hard to catch Paul. Almost got him and he beat me by not even half a second. Pretty sick run! I was like 1 second faster than last time, but I was 5th instead of 6th. Nick ended up winning with 10:15 and that was really sick. Afterwards we had a race pace workout of 2x600s then 1x400. Wasn't too hard, so I was very successful! Our team time was a lot faster today than TT #2. Can't wait to race at Murray this weekend!!

PM- Murray Invite. #1 worst race of my XC career and it really got me shooken up. I started off pretty well, but even coach knew I was dead from the start. I had no energy and just could not get my body moving! Reminded me a lot of Herriman last year for me... Finished in a heart shattering 99th place with a gut curdling 18:15 or something like that... Not even top 10 on the team I think. It was especially disappointing because Murray was a race I was very excited to run and had visualized many times in my mind... Oh well. I may not see varsity for the next race or so, but I sure as heck am gonna keep working my tail end off and doing what I do best and show off my resiliency.

| | AM- State Course Race Pace Workout 2x(1min, 2min, 3min), 1x(1min, 2min). This was a purely XC race pace workout with 2 minutes recovery between each rep. I think we may have been going around 5:10-5:20 pace-ish for the whole thing. I really enjoyed this workout and, contrary to yesterday's race, ran very well and right where I needed to be. We did really well packing as a team for the most part and I'm proud of our guys. I did especially well on the 3 minute and 2 minute reps where I had more time to work my way up and even lead a couple times (Hell Raiser pulled away on a couple of them). Love the new course and can't wait to race it come October.

| | AM- 30 minutes usual morning run. Pretty sick with the guys. Coach and Skylar had a conflict regarding a BYU guy punching that dude in the cup.
PM- 90 minutes w/striders 2x(1, 2, 1). Pretty sick run started out pretty scary with coach VIS fainting by Harts. We ran back and drove coach's Tahoe and dropped him off at the school. Luckily that was only about 5 minutes into the run. After that we got poured on to the point where we were all blinded by the water. Irene is cool. Coach talked to us about Nebo and stuff and I'll be running JV with Jake and Jason. I'm gonna go out and try to win it. The JV race at Nebo is usually pretty quick so I'm not even mad... I'm ready for it! We made it to The Garden by Pioneer Park and then we went back by way of Starbucks. Did our fartleks at the end instead of during the first half so that was different.

PM- 3x(1000@I pace, 600@R pace). Pretty solid workout. All the guys who weren't racing today (the 10V guys), did really really well. Great grouping. And the times were pretty solid. 1000s were about 3:15, 600s were at 1:50

| | AM- 4 miles easy Green Springs. Today and yesterday we went to Green Springs instead of the usual route because Dallen got a gun pulled on him yesterday before practice by his house (which is near our route). Pretty scary stuff.
PM- Sand Hills 2x3 1 minuters. Pretty great workout and probably my best sand hills yet.

PM- 3x1600s @5:15 goal Race pace. Our goal was to go First one being 10 seconds fast, Second one 15 seconds slow and third one 5 seconds fast. I did pretty dang well. First one was 5:06, 2nd one was 5:29, 3rd one was 5:11. 200 afterwards nobody told me we were starting so I started from behind and moved my way up. Good day

| | AM- 4 miles easy. Lots of freshmen and sophomores out this morning. It was beautiful
PM- 15minute Tempo w/10x100/100. I struggled today. The tempo went fine until the last couple minutes I fell off a few meters and then on the 100/100 (100F pace, 100 Float pace) I just fell off a lot. I did catch Mitch on the 100/100s though. I was proud of my ability to pack up for the majority of the tempo though. It was killer hot today... Hotter than the devil's microwave in the middle of Australia in January.
