PM- .5 prewarm, 1.5 warm, almost all-out mile, 1.5 cool. Felt pretty good today and ran the mile somewhat strong at a 5:02. I was kind of hoping to break 5 today but this was super great either way! It is a 30 second PR since the last time I ran a mile on the track. I treated it like a race and tried to win, but Josh came up at the end a beat me. Feel really good about this track season because of this. A lot of us were within 5 seconds of each other. In other business, I got athlete of the week today which was super cool! I don't think I deserved all the praise coach gave me because it was just 1 good race, but it was way awesome to get presented with such a high honor. We're taking our mileage way down this week for region next week and we have no weights or morning runs this week.

PE- Ran the 'timed' mile in PE today so I'm adding a mile for that.

PM- .5 warm, 4 miles easy, 4x200s. Ran Sandberg's Pond with the lvl 2 guys today. Even though we were going somewhat quick on this run, everyone kept up. It was really cool. Felt really tired and dehydrated today. Did alright on the 200s and they were pretty consistent.

Snow Canyon Invitational- Warmed up pretty good and felt like it was the perfect amount at around 1.75ish. Started the race and tried to stick with our top guys for the first mile which I did, but unfortunately I started to fall off. It felt like I had pulled something in my hip-flexer or something because that area just hurt so bad! Anyways I went from 4th on the team back to 6th by the end, but I did end up beating DHs 4th guy so that's good. I think I started out a little faster than I should have and I should have just stayed relaxed the first bit so I could pull another Cedar, but I ended up doing okay at this meet. I finished just barely in front of Sunshine and a second or 2 behind Cam. I'll use this as a learning experience so that I can do better at region. Not sure my place or time yet so I just guessed ??? Cooled down a little less than 1.5.

PM- 4 miles E, 4x400 R pace w/equal recovery. Perfect pace on the 4 miles. I don't know what it was, but it was perfect. My 400s were not all out, but started at race pace and got a little faster. My times were 1:13, 1:12, 1:10, and 1:06.

AM- 1 warm, 1.5 Tempo, 2xMasterBlasters, 1 cool. Felt super great on the tempo! We flew with an 8:17 for the 1.5!! It was pretty easy surprisingly. Master Blasters were really hard! My team was me, Cam and Andrew. We led the workout on both of the sets which was pretty cool. Really tough and fast. 1 mile cool.

AM- 3 miles w/3 Fartleks. Me and Cam took the initiative to invite a bunch of us JV guys to run with us for the Saturday run, but the only people who actually showed up was Cam, Andrew, Jake B, and me. We ran from Wash. Elementary to Maverick and our Fartleks were 30 sec, 1 min, 30 sec. Felt pretty good today and ran the run with ease. Legs felt a little heavy today.
